TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 Herdsman’s Holidays

 

Making a Booking:

To make a booking, please complete the booking request form. A 20% booking deposit is required to secure the booking.  Confirmation of the booking will be made within 3 days of receipt of the booking deposit. Full payment of the balance must be paid 5 weeks before your stay.

 

Changing Dates and Cancellations:

Once your booking has been confirmed by us, we may accept amendments received from you within 48 hours of the initial booking, pending availability. Changes cannot be made at the commencement of your stay. We reserve the right to refuse accommodation if payment is not made in full. If any portion of the booked period is cancelled after arrival, we are not able to refund any monies.

Where a cancellation is made 3 months or more prior to the commencement date of the booking, we will refund your deposit (less any fees incurred by ourselves). Where a cancellation is made less than 3 months, but more than 6 weeks, prior to the commencement date of the booking, we will endeavour to secure a booking  for the cancelled dates. If we are able to arrange another booking for the same period and for the same rental price, a refund will be provided (less any fees incurred by ourselves).  If we are unsuccessful in arranging an alternative booking, your deposit is non-refundable.   If you cancel your booking between 21-42 days, you will be refunded 50% of the paid rental price. If you cancel your booking between 1-21 days before your arrival, there is no refund of any monies paid.

 

Security Deposit:

All bookings are subject to a refundable security deposit of €200. This must be paid in cash on arrival. The security deposit will be returned on departure after the house has been checked for cleanliness and damages.  Any breakages/damage should be reported before departure.

 

Covid 19:

Cleaning and disinfection protocols have been followed for the cleaning of our premises. Neutral detergent and 0.05% sodium hypochlorite or 70% ethanol have been used. We have paid particular attention to frequently touched surfaces (touch points) such as:

  • Lights and light switches
  • Internal and external door plates, handles, releases, and keys
  • Interior seating (e.g. arms of chairs) and related internal furniture (e.g. side tables). Only a couple throws have been supplied.
  • Television and remote control
  • All hard surfaces (e.g. tables, countertops, sink/taps)
  • Glasses, cutlery, delph, cooking utensils have been washed in the correct temperature and detergent after any use by guests.
  • Flooring has been disinfected in accordance with Public Health guidance.
  • Refuse and recycling bins.
  • Bathrooms: all sinks, toilets, toilet seats, handles, taps, plugs, shower doors, tiles, and bath (if indicated) have been disinfected.
  • Bedroom furniture, windows and windowsills, closets, hangers, mirrors, pictures, etc.

All bed linen and towels have been washed at a high temperature and in accordance with the Government of Ireland’s Public Health advice.  Extra blankets and beach towels are stored separately (please ask us for these anytime). If the blankets are used, please leave them in your room for laundering.  Used beach towels can be left in the bathroom

Alcohol-based hand sanitiser is available in the kitchen during your stay. Please keep it out of reach of children (and the same for other detergents in the house).

Cleanliness:

Our self-catering accommodation provides you with facilities for cooking, an initial supply of soap, toilet paper, washing detergent, some cleaning products and a vacuum cleaner. We ask that you keep the house clean and tidy during your stay.  We also ask that you leave the property and its contents in the same condition as you found them.  It is important that you clean all kitchen cooking ware and eating utensils thoroughly before you leave. If excessive cleaning is required, a cleaning charge of 20 euro per hour will be levied and deducted from the security deposit. We reserve the right to check the house regularly to ensure there are no difficulties or problems with the house and/or contents. We reserve the right to terminate your booking for serious breaches of our house rules and anti-social behaviour.

 

Number of People Staying:

The quote provided is for the amount of people and rooms required at the time of booking. You must notify us before arrival if there are any changes to the size of the group. We reserve the right to charge €80 per night for additional persons or terminate the booking.

 

Arrival and Departure times:

Arrival time is after 3:30 PM and departure time is on or before 10:00 AM unless prior arrangements have been made. Please inform us of your intended arrival time if it will be later than 5pm. If you need assistance with transport, please feel free to contact us.

 

Issues During Your Stay:

From time to time, items may break down or get damaged through normal wear and tear, without warning. We will try to repair or replace these items as soon as possible during your stay.  However we cannot guarantee the issue will be rectified during your stay as this may be reliant on outside factors, e.g. trades people.   We apologise for this inconvenience, but we are not able to prevent breakdowns from happening, or know if / when they will occur.

 

We accept no responsibility for loss, theft, injury or damage to any member of your party or their property, howsoever caused, arising in any manner from the letting of this house and attached properties, use of access paths to the sea, and entire farmlands, farm animals, and farm tractors and machinery.

 

We reserve the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and without notice.  Any revised edition of the terms and conditions will be effective immediately when displayed on this site.

 

The rental rate for your accommodation includes:

  • Beds freshly made with 100% cotton sheets. Extra pillows in wardrobe.
  • 1 set of towels (bath, hand and face) per person. Bathmats in each bathroom.
  • VOYA shampoo and body wash in each bathroom
  • All kitchen cutlery and utensils; pots and pans; glasses, dishes; and tea towels
  • Basic cleaning products (vacuum cleaner, detergents and sprays, sponges etc)
  • A small selection of DVDs and books
  • Heating (reasonable use), Water and Electricity
  • Unlimited Free Fibre Broadband

 

Smoking

The house is strictly non-smoking.

 

Pets

We are sorry that we are unable to accept pets at any time.
