By completing a registration/booking/payment with Aqua4mums you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
Class Terms and Conditions
My participation in any Aqua4mums water exercise programme is voluntary.
The information on my booking form is correct to the best of my knowledge.
I am in good physical condition and capable of engaging in water exercise without detriment to my health, safety or physical comfort. I will inform Aqua4mums of any changes to my physical condition as soon as possible.
If attending the postnatal class I must have completed my 6 week check up with GP or Maternity Hospital and be cleared for return to exercise.
If I have or develop any of the following conditions during my pregnancy (see Absolute ContraIndication To Exercise List*) this must be discussed with my Aqua4mums instructor, and I understand that I can’t participate in further classes.
Absolute Contra-Indications to Exercise During Pregnancy
Unexplained persistent Vaginal Bleeding
Placenta Previa after 28weeks gestation
Intra-uterine growth restriction
High order multiple pregnancy (eg triplets)
Uncontrolled Type 1 diabetes
Uncontrolled thyroid disease
Other serious cardiovascular, respiratory or systemic disorder.
Best advice for if you are experiencing one of these conditions is that you continue your normal mobility and activities of daily living, but don’t engage in any strenuous exercise. Seek your medical professionals advice, it may be possible to do some structured 1:1 exercise sessions, but a group session would not be indicated.
If I have or develop any of the following conditions during my pregnancy (see Relative ContraIndications to Exercise List*) I must discuss this with my Aqua4mums instructor and understand that I must seek and provide letter of medical clearance to exercise
Relative Contraindications to exercise
Recurrent pregnancy loss
A history of spontaneous preterm birth
Mild/moderate cardiovascular or respiratory disease
Twin pregnancy after the 28th week
Other significant medical condition

2019 Canadian Guideline for Physical Activity throughout Pregnancy.
Payment per block of 6 classes is the standard operating procedure for Aqua4mums classes.
To facilitate those who might miss the beginning of a block a special arrangement is available of paying for 5 weeks or 4 weeks, and if joining after week 3 it is pay as you go until the beginning of the next block.
An exception to this is if your baby is due to arrive during a block, pay as you go is the standard operating procedure in this instance.
Postnatal classes are run in blocks of 6 or 8 and are payable up front. As these classes run on Saturday mornings if, at the outset of class you know you are unavailable on certain weekends, the starting block price can be adjusted and agreed accordingly on a case by case basis. There is no pay as you go option available.
I understand that my training fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
All bookings must be placed in writing by completion of the relevant course registration forms. Bookings cannot be confirmed without receipt of registration forms and payment.
Aqua4mums will not be held responsible for any cancellations due to circumstances outside of their control and reasonable efforts to make up will be made.
I understand that my teacher Aileen Convery is a qualified chartered CORU registered physiotherapist and is an experienced aquatic physiotherapy professional.
I understand that other Aqua4mum instructors hold their own chartered physiotherapy qualifications, are CORU registered, and hold their own insurance but are not the liability of Aqua4mums.
I understand that Aqua4mums are in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongings while I attend Aqua4mums classes.
I will tell the teacher if anything unusual/painful is experienced in the class or between classes.
I will stop doing the exercise if I or she thinks I need to, and follow the alternatives my teacher gives me.
I understand that my teacher may offer me professional advice relating to my ability to exercise during/after my pregnancy, and may guide me towards a professional physiotherapy colleague if individual, hands on assessment/treatment is advised as difficulties may fall outside the scope of a group exercise programme.
I will keep my teacher updated on any changes in my medical condition.
I understand that all exercise carries a risk and I voluntarily participate in Aqua4mum water exercise classes with full knowledge that there is risk of personal injury, property loss or death. I agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representative will sue or make any other claims of any other kind whatsoever against Aqua4mum or its members for any personal injury, property damage/loss, or wrongful death, whether caused by negligence or otherwise
If you are struggling with anything in your class, have any problems or concerns, do please let us know as soon as you can, and we will do our best to help.
We reserve the right to change the advertised teacher if the teacher is unavailable due to illness or unforeseen circumstances. No fees will be refunded if the class teacher changes.
If there are not enough people booked in to a class to run it for the term, we reserve the right to cancel the class. A full refund will be given to you if you can’t attend or be accommodated in another similar class at a different venue.
Absence and our Courtesy Make-Up Class Policy
If you are going to be absent from your regular class, please let us know, or we will wonder what happened to you.
When you have registered for a six week block, if you miss a class because you are ill, or kept at work, or are away, you can come along to a similar class at another venue during your six week block to make up.
This is a courtesy arrangement and we ask you only to make use of it when necessary. You cannot ‘carry over’ classes you missed into the next block.
If you develop a condition on the Absolute and Relative contra-indications to exercise during your pregnancy list (see lists above) and are unable to continue exercising, the un-used balance of your block will be refunded.
We make all our venues as safe as we can, but your belongings are left in the pool changing facilities at your own risk. We cannot be held responsible for anything lost or stolen.
If you drive to class, you use car parks and car parking spaces for your vehicle and belongings at your own risk. Where on-street parking is used Aqua4mums gives reasonable information at time of booking on any local common parking by laws and restrictions, but it is your responsibility to park safely, respectfully of peoples gateways and only in permitted legal areas. Any ticketing connected to parking your vehicle is at your own expense.
